Blitzkrieg LLC is proud to offer the American firearms community this incredibly rare Polish DShK parts kit. We as a company came across these kits in our long search to find military surplus for the American civilian market. DShK kits are incredibly hard to find and have rarely been imported to the United States. Unfortunately, due to to the Russo-Ukrainian War many of these DSHK have been shipped to Ukraine and those that are legally eligible for importation into the United States, have increased in value considerably due to the wars demand. It may not look like it, but our profit margin is incredibly low on this item. Currently we only have one kit on order due to the individual kit cost. As of May 2023 we have the opportunity to import a handful more if we have interest from the American firearms community. The kits will sport a receiver and barrel demilled to ATF specifications (THE PICTURE ABOVE SHOWS THE KIT PRIOR TO BEING CUT). Cuts will be done via torch/plasma cut. This DShK kit will come with one ammunition can and 100 links for 12.7mm ammunition. Additional links and cans are available for our kit buyers if requested. We have a source on new production barrels and we can help provide barrels to buyers either in 12.7x108mm or .50BMG. Payment is 50% up front and 50% when the kit arrives from our foreign supplier in September 2023. Payments will be made via Money Order, Certified Check or Wire. Don't miss out on possibly one of the last opportunities to purchase a legally importable DShK. We believe that as the war prolongs more and more ex-Soviet arms will be sent to Ukraine and depending on the conclusion of the war will never be legally allowed to be imported again.
Item Background
The DShK - Degtyaryov-Shpagin large-calibre was originally a Soviet Machine Gun developed in 1938 by Vasily Degtyarov and georgi Shpagin. It was nicknamed by the Russians during WWII as Dushka which means dear or beloved. Alongside the American M2 Browning the DShK is the only .50 caliber machine gun designed prior to WWII that remains in service to the present day. During World War II, the DShK was used by the Red Army with a total of 9,000 produced during the war. It was used mostly in anti-aircraft roles on vehicles such as the GAZ-AA truck, IS-2 tank, and the T-40 Tank. After World War II, DShKs were used widely by communist forces in Vietnam, starting with the Battle of Dien Bien Phu in 1954. The DShK was easy to smuggle through Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos and became a major threat to American aircraft. Of the 7,500 helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft lost during the war, most were destroyed by DShK. When Poland was occupied by the Soviet Army and a puppet government was instituted in Warsaw, State controlled Polish arms factories were coerced into manufacturing Soviet weapons. The Polish DShK was manufactured by Zaklady Mechaniczne Tarnow located in Tarnow Poland and was mounted on Polish Production T-55 tanks and beyond.
